Atlanta-based Proficient Systems Acquires ATDC Member Company TogetherWeb

Proficient Systems, Inc., an innovator in multi-channel sales optimization software, announced that it has acquired Atlanta-based collaborative commerce and browsing software developer, TogetherWeb, Inc. TogetherWeb is a member company in the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC).

TogetherWeb Chief Executive Officer Rick Hargett and several key members of the development team joined Proficient, which also gained TogetherWeb's core collaborative browsing software, technology, intellectual property, select client contracts, and fixed assets.

Proficient has been working with TogetherWeb for approximately nine months to integrate its technology into Proficient's business application, which enables online sales representatives and customer service agents to engage browsers and collaboratively navigate and browse web pages with them. As a result, "there are virtually no technical risks associated with this acquisition," stated Vikas Rijsinghani, chief technology officer, Proficient Systems. "Acquiring TogetherWeb after fully integrating its technology into our enterprise software solution is a win/win for TogetherWeb, Proficient and our respective customers."
